Balanced fabrics with mechanical resistance values similar to those with plain weave.

The batavia weave gives the fabric greater adaptability; they are therefore suitable for more complex shaped products, such as fairings and bodies in the automotive sector, sport tools, bicycle parts, skating shoes, to faithfully produce a fender or hull of a motorcycle in polyester or epoxy resin.

Carbon fiber is a very thin thread-like structure, made of carbon with which a large variety of materials called composites are built because the fibers are “composed”, that is joined together with a matrix, generally made of resin whose function is that of keeping the resistant fiber “posing” (so that they maintain the correct orientation in absorbing the efforts), of protecting the fibers and also of maintaining the shape of the composite article.

For the construction of composite structures, the carbon fibers are first intertwined together to organzie real carbon cloths and then, once laid, they are immersed in the matrix.

Its characteristics include high mechanical resistance, low density, thermal insulation capacity, resistance to temperature changes and the effect of chemical agents, good fire retardant properties.

On the other hand, the material is not homogeneous and often has a marked anisotropy.

We recommed  to impregnate carbon fiber fabrics only with epoxy resin (all our fabrics are compatible with the epoxies present in our stores) to have maximum aesthetic and structural performance obtainable.
