Carbon fiber is a filiform structure, very thin, made of carbon with which you build a large variety of materials called composites because the fibers are "composed" or joined together with a matrix, generally made of resin whose function is to keep the resistant fibers in place (to maintain the correct orientation in absorbing the stresses), to protect the fibers and also to maintain the shape of the composite product.

For the construction of composite structures, the carbon fibers are firstintertwinedtogether with organizing real carbon clothsand then, once placed in pose, they are immersed in the matrix.

Among its features stand out thehigh mechanical strength, low density, thermal insulation capacity, resistance to temperature variations and to the effect of chemical agents, good fireproof properties.

On the other hand, the material resultsnot homogeneousand often has a marked anisotropy.

We recommend impregnating carbon fiber fabrics only withepoxy matrix resins(all our fabrics are compatible with the epoxy present in our stores) for maximum aesthetic and structural performance obtainable.
