In a warehouse every lane on a shelf needs two things: something that keeps the goods in place and a label that says what is there and where it goes back. This magnetic shelf divider kit with label holders gives both to a whole shelf of metal shelving. The 4 dividers, 20 cm high, sit on the shelf and stay put thanks to the magnetic base; the 5 magnetic label holders stick to the shelf edge, one in front of each lane, with the bin location code. No screws, holes or adhesive are needed, and when your range changes you move everything by hand.
What is in the kit
- 4 magnetic dividers in grey plastic, 20 cm high and as long as the depth you choose: 30, 40, 50 or 60 cm. Under the inverted T base there is a magnetic strip covering the whole surface.
- 5 magnetic C-channel label holders, 40 x 100 mm, each with its white card and clear PVC cover.
Warehouse bin locations in a few minutes
Place the dividers on the shelf at the spacing you need: 4 dividers give you 5 lanes, and the two outer lanes are closed by the sides of the shelving unit. Write or print the code of each location on the card, barcode included, slide it into the label holder with the cover in front and stick the label to the shelf edge in front of its lane. The scanner reads the barcode through the PVC, for picking and for stocktaking.
For anyone working with metal shelving
In e-commerce and logistics warehouses they keep picking locations apart and move when the items change. In spare parts stores, hardware shops and workshops they divide boxes of different sizes. In pharmacies they keep small, similar packs in line. In the back of a shop they separate seasonal stock, in archives they keep binders and files upright, in the garage they tidy up galvanised shelving.
How to choose the depth
The length of the dividers matches the depth of the shelf: for shelving 40 cm deep choose the 40 cm kit. If the shelf is deeper than the sizes available, you can place two dividers back to back.

Does it work on stainless steel, wooden or plastic shelves?
It works on iron and steel shelves, painted or galvanised. Many stainless steels, such as the common AISI 304, are not magnetic: test with a magnet first. The magnet does not stick to wood, plastic, glass or aluminium.
Do they stay in place when you push the boxes?
Yes. The magnet covers the whole base of the divider and holds it in place even when you take out and put back the boxes: we use them in our own warehouse too.
