Adhesive thermal-acoustic insulation for roller shutter boxes — draft-proof & noise reduction
CE-marked, Made-in-Italy polyethylene panel with adhesive backing, engineered for roller shutter box insulation: it cuts heat loss, blocks draughts and dampens outdoor noise. Ideal for quick retrofits that boost comfort without masonry work.
Key benefits
- Stop draughts from the shutter box: less cold air in winter and less hot air in summer.
- Energy savings: mitigates thermal bridges around the window frame.
- Acoustic comfort: sound-reducing barrier that softens the most annoying outdoor noises.
- Fast install: self-adhesive, cut to size and apply in minutes.
- Vapour barrier and water-resistant to protect the cavity.
- Compatible with most shutter boxes (PVC, wood, aluminium) and shutters.
Where to use
- Roller shutter boxes in homes, offices and shops.
- Quick upgrades on existing buildings when the box is the weak point.
- Combine with brush seals/gaskets to maximise air-tightness.
Installation (step-by-step)
- Open the box and check internal clearances (shutter travel, strap/motor).
- Clean the base and inner walls: dry, dust- and grease-free.
- Measure & cut with a utility knife and straightedge; dry-fit before peeling the liner.
- Apply: peel gradually and press evenly from centre to edges.
- Joints: butt without overlap; seal joints with aluminium/PE tape if needed.
- Close and verify smooth shutter travel along the full stroke.
Pro tips
- Do not obstruct guides, straps or inspection points; keep the required clearance.
- On irregular cavities, work in modules: base → walls → trims.
- For best performance, check and replace worn brushes/labyrinth seals.
Compatibility & honest limits
- Designed for indoor use and dry cavities.
- Does not replace structural repair of damaged/leaky boxes: restore the substrate first.
- Thermal/acoustic performance and sizes/thicknesses: see the product page and official data sheet.
What’s in the box

FAQ
Is it compatible with all shutter boxes?Yes, it fits most PVC, wood and aluminium boxes. Always verify clearances and shutter travel.
How much comfort improvement should I expect?Draught reduction is immediate; acoustic benefit depends on cavity condition and joint sealing.
Do I need extra glue? No. The adhesive is integrated. Apply on clean, dry surfaces with even pressure.
Can I cut it to size?Yes. Cut with a sharp knife/scissors using a rigid guide.
Note: dimensions, thicknesses, pack info and official performance are listed on the product page.
