Thermal & Acoustic Wall Insulation

Materials for thermal and acoustic wall insulation, suitable for different construction systems indoors or outdoors depending on product characteristics.

The range includes glass and mineral wool, rock wool, insulation panels and materials intended for lining walls, cavities and external insulation systems where applicable.

Thickness, thermal conductivity, acoustic performance, fire behaviour and compatibility with the build-up must be assessed on the basis of the material's technical data and the selected system.

How to choose wall insulation

Wall insulation may have thermal, acoustic or both objectives. The material should therefore be selected by considering both the performance required and the type of structure into which it will be installed.

  • Lining walls and cavities: check the available thickness, density and thermal-acoustic properties of the material.
  • External insulation: use only products declared suitable for the intended system.
  • Fire and moisture: consider the classifications and conditions of use stated in the technical documentation.

Vapour management, fixings, finishes and layer composition depend on the construction solution: there is no single build-up that is valid for every wall.
