- Easy to read: the breathalyzer determines whether the legal limit has been exceeded, without the possibility of misinterpretation or error.
- 100% accuracy: the test has an accuracy of 100% in case of a positive result.
- Simpler: simplifies and speeds up the test, without the need to blow into a balloon and then blow the exhaled air into the vial. ✓ Patented: the Turdus patent with blow duration indicator has made it possible to eliminate the plastic balloon.
- Used worldwide: the Freedrive single-vial breathalyzer is currently used in many countries worldwide, such as North America, Canada, and the USA, where it is FDA approved, as well as by the police in France, Switzerland, and Belgium.
- The test is simple, just press on both ends and blow until the special indicator turns from red to white; the chemical reagent inside reacts to alcohol by changing color.

Reliability of Turdus Breathalyzers
All Turdus breathalyzers without balloon, under the Freedrive brand, undergo a quality testing protocol during production.
This quality protocol is periodically audited by ISO 9001 and LNE inspections, resulting in certifications from these bodies.
The reliability protocol includes periodic tests on samples of 50 units.
Production is authorized when these tests yield:
• 100% "positive" results for alcohol levels equal to or greater than 0.5 g/l of blood
• 96% "negative" results for levels below 0.5 g/l of blood (4% false positives)
We can therefore state that the reliability level of our products is 100%, as they clearly indicate exceeding the legal blood alcohol limit.
Instructions for Use
For reliable results, always wait at least 30 minutes after the last alcohol intake. If in doubt, do not drive and repeat the test after 10 minutes.
1. WARMING: Hold the breathalyzer in your hand for 30 seconds.
2. ACTIVATION: Press the ends to pierce the aluminum seals.
3. BLOWING: Position the breathalyzer so you can see the red indicator. Inhale deeply, then blow slowly in one breath until the indicator turns white.
4. INTERPRETATION: If the reactive crystals remain yellow, alcohol level is between 0.0 and 0.49 g/l. If they turn green, alcohol level is ≥0.5 g/l. Do not interpret after 10 minutes.
Certifications
The Turdus vial:
• Complies with French standard NFX 20-702:2014 ensuring high quality
• Complies with the European REACH regulation for reagents
• Approved by the FDA in the United States
As the product is not a medical device, CE certification is not applicable, and CE marking is prohibited. In Europe, no specific certifications exist except in France, where the June 2015 decree sets technical requirements for breathalyzers used to prevent drunk driving.
