- This is a very versatile insulator with exceptional thermal insulation properties. It is the best way to make your car quieter, cooler in summer and warmer in winter. This material is easy to cut and attach, and it is adhesive.
- It has the same characteristics and thermal insulation properties as expanded rubber. This material does not absorb water, has no odor, and is resistant to oil and gasoline.
- Made in Italy with technical data sheet, professional product.
The material used is an excellent insulator! The soundproofing keeps both heat and cold. It is especially important in climate zones with high temperatures. A well-insulated car interior is the secret to driving comfort.
In the modern world there are many external noises that irritate a driver and prevent him from concentrating, which quickly causes fatigue during driving. That is why many drivers think about additional protection from environmental noise and install a complete vibro-acoustic insulation package.
WARNING!
- Wear gloves to protect your hands while working with the product.
- Correct application of the product is 50% of the success of your car’s sound insulation. Press the product along the previously cleaned and carefully degreased surface using a roller. The special corrugation on the sheet is made for ease of application so that you can see the areas that have been pressed with a roller correctly and those that require more pressing.
APPLICATION
Read the instructions for use carefully to the end. It is important to know all the details since the efficiency of sound insulation does not only depend on the material used, but above all is a consequence of correct application. Please note that wrong application may cause undesirable results or no effect at all.
STEP 1
Decide which part of the car you want to insulate first: floor, roof, doors, trunk, or engine compartment. The treatment of each metal part of the car has its own exclusive contribution to the overall result. That said, it is recommended to insulate all metal parts for maximum performance. Then, find your vehicle’s user manual and focus on the section that explains how to dismantle interior trim panels. Be careful when removing them not to break the fastening clips. This information can also be found on a relevant automotive forum.
STEP 2
Remove the factory insulation residues when the trim has been dismantled. This needs to be done only if the factory insulation is damaged or incorrectly fixed. You can leave it if it is still in good condition. The next step is to clean, dry, and thoroughly degrease the application surface. The soundproofing will not adhere properly and may not last long if applied to wet or dirty surfaces. Use a degreaser and a clean dry cloth for this purpose. It is also recommended to wear gloves and ventilate the room from time to time during the work. * Test the degreaser on a small area before using it on plastic or painted parts.
STEP 3
Once step 2 is complete, take measurements of the application surface. First, we suggest making a paper template of appropriate size and then transferring it to the soundproofing material. This will help to position it accurately and avoid material waste. Use a cutter or scissors to cut the desired shape. Be careful and wear gloves to protect your hands.
STEP 4
Next, place the soundproofing material on the surface without removing the protective film. Make sure the surface is well covered. Now it’s time to remove the protective paper film, but do not pull it all at once — do it gradually for better adhesion. Once applied to the surface, press the sheet to make it stick. Smooth the sheet with your hands to avoid air bubbles between the insulator and the metal surface. Use a roller to press the sheet onto the metal. The sheet with corrugations and ribs on the matte surface allows you to see the points that require more pressing. The sheet must be pressed with a roller until it is smooth and flat, which means it has been applied correctly.
