Certification and testing
The disposable decontaminating and bactericidal mats are registered as CE Class 1 non-sterile medical devices pursuant to D.L. 24/02/97 No. 46 art. 1, paragraph 2 a/b, implementing Directive 93/42 EEC on medical devices (safety data sheet of the materials used) and are suitable for thermal destruction.
The University of Ferrara, in particular the Chair of Cytology and Histology, published an experimental analysis on the use of decontaminating mats in hospitals. The study shows that the use of decontaminating mats results in a significant reduction in microbial load brought by staff passage and also by wheeled beds in the floor area beyond the mat itself.
Each sheet is coated with a non-toxic, solvent-free water-based acrylic adhesive.
The amount of adhesive, the specific formulation, and the micro-profile of the coating rollers ensure a controlled and constant level of adhesion.
It is therefore able to retain dust and bacteria with every step, avoiding dangerous migrations of adhesive and contaminants from the sheet to the soles.
