WARNING!

- Wear gloves to protect your hands when working with the product.

- Proper application of the product is 50% of the success of sound insulation in your car. Press the product along the carefully cleaned and degreased surface using a roller. The special corrugation on the sheet is made for ease of application so that you can see the areas that have been pressed correctly with a roller and those that require more pressing.

APPLICATION

Read the instructions carefully until the end. It is important to know all the details as the efficiency of sound insulation does not depend only on the material used, but above all is a consequence of correct application. Please note that incorrect application could cause undesirable results or no effect.

STEP 1

Decide which part of the car you want to insulate first: floor, roof, doors, trunk or engine compartment. The treatment of each metal part of the car has its own exclusive contribution to the overall result. That said, it is recommended to soundproof all metal parts for maximum performance. Then, find your vehicle's user manual and focus on the part that explains how to remove interior trim panels. Be careful when removing them so as not to break the fixing clips. This information can also be found on related automotive forums.

STEP 2

Remove factory insulation residues when the trim has been removed. This only needs to be done if the factory insulation is damaged or incorrectly fixed. You can leave it if it is still in good condition. The next step is to carefully clean, dry and degrease the application surface. The soundproofing will not adhere correctly and may not last long if applied on wet or dirty surfaces. Use a degreaser and a clean, dry cloth for this purpose. It is also recommended to wear gloves and ventilate the room from time to time during the work. * Test the degreaser on a small area before using it on plastic or painted parts.

STEP 3

Once step 2 is completed, take measurements of the application surface. First we suggest making a properly sized template on a sheet of paper and then transferring it to the soundproofing material. This will help you position it precisely and avoid wasting material. Use a special cutter or scissors to cut the desired shape. Be careful and wear gloves to protect your hands.

STEP 4

Next, place the soundproofing material on the surface without removing the protective film. Make sure the surface is well covered. Now it's time to remove the protective paper film but do not pull it all off at once, do it gradually for better adhesion. Once applied to the surface, press the sheet to make it stick. Flatten the sheet with your hands to avoid air bubbles between the soundproofing and the metal surface. Use a roller to press the sheet so that it adheres to the metal surface. The corrugated parts and ribs on the matte surface allow you to see the points that require more pressing. You must press the sheet with a roller until it is smooth and flat, which means it has been applied correctly.
