PAVIGRAN RW recycled-rubber impact sound insulation
PAVIGRAN RW is a 3 mm resilient acoustic layer for floating floors. It is installed mainly beneath screed and, where permitted by the technical data sheet, directly beneath the floor finish. The recycled-rubber structure is robust, durable and suitable for renovation and new-build work.
Main technical data
- Roll: 12,000 x 1,000 mm = 12 m².
- Thickness: 3 mm; density: approx. 950 kg/m³.
- Dynamic stiffness s’: 49 MN/m³ according to EN 29052-1.
- Typical impact sound improvement: ΔLw 23 dB under screed; approx. 16 dB under 8 mm ceramic tiles.
- Thermal conductivity λ: 0.100 W/mK; reaction to fire: Euroclass E.
- Compliant with Italian Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM).
Installation
Prepare a clean, level base and apply a continuous perimeter strip. Lay the sheets edge to edge without overlaps and tape every joint. When required, add a PE separating film with 10–20 cm overlaps and turn it up at the perimeter. Avoid rigid contact between screed, walls and service penetrations to prevent acoustic bridges.
Packaging and planning
One pack contains one 12 m² roll and weighs approximately 34 kg. Add 5–10% for cuts and waste. Pallet shipping is recommended for more than three or four rolls.
Important note
Final acoustic performance depends on the complete floor build-up and installation quality. Always follow the technical data sheet and the project specifications.
