Sound-absorbing sandwich panel aluminium film + polyurethane + EPDM

For the noise a sound-absorbing panel cannot stop. This is not meant to correct the echo of a room: it is a five-layer sandwich built to block noise at the source. It is the right product when the problem is a generator set, a compressor or a pump.

How it is built, layer by layer:

  • Aluminium film — reflective outer barrier
  • MTP 30 AU/F1 polyurethane, 20 mm thick
  • EPDM membrane 3.5 kg/m² — the mass that stops the sound
  • MTP 30 AU/F1 polyurethane, 11 mm thick
  • Adhesive rated up to 160 °C
  • Total thickness 33 mm, panel 50 x 100 cm
  • Sound absorption well above the average of standard panels
  • Four manufacturer datasheets enclosed, one for each component
  • Made in Italy, also exportable to the United States

Where it is used: generator set and compressor enclosures, plant rooms, roller shutter boxes, control panels and machinery, noise barriers, high-level industrial and civil soundproofing.

About the certifications, in plain words. Reaction-to-fire certifications refer to the individual materials under test conditions, not to the laminate as a whole. We enclose the original manufacturer documents: for uses with specific fire requirements, suitability must be verified on the project.

Also available as a 1500 x 2200 mm sheet and, for large quantities, in made-to-order sizes.

High-end laminated sound-blocking product, made for industrial and civil soundproofing. The outer aluminium film also acts as an oil barrier, and the panel withstands operating temperatures of up to 160 °C.

Panel composition:

  • Aluminium film
  • MTP 30 AU/F1 polyurethane foam — 20 mm thick
  • EPDM membrane 3.5 kg/m²
  • MTP 30 AU/F1 polyurethane foam — 11 mm thick
  • Adhesive rated up to 160 °C

Total panel thickness approx. 33 mm. The sound-absorbing performance of the laminate is well above the average of standard panels, and the polyurethanes used are among the best available in flexible foams.

Typical uses: enclosures and cabins for generator sets, compressors and pumps; plant rooms and machine rooms; control panels and machinery guards; roller shutter boxes; noise barriers.

Documentation: four manufacturer datasheets, one for each component, attached at the bottom of the page. Reaction-to-fire certifications refer to the individual materials under test conditions, not to the laminate as a whole.

Available in 50 x 100 cm, as a 1500 x 2200 mm sheet and, for large quantities, in sizes made to order. Made in Italy, also exportable to the United States.
